Mozambican Visa Requirements

The following is a list of information that you need to know as you prepare for your trip to Mozambique. However, please note that this information is not exhaustive, and is subject to change without notice. Vaccinations

Yellow fever: A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travellers over 1 year of age coming from infected areas.
Malaria: Exists throughout the year in the whole country.

Recommended prophylaxis: Mefloquine or Malarone

Visas

Visas: Required by all. Multiple-entry visas: 90 days from date of issue. Transit visas: 7 days from date of issue. Visas can sometimes also be obtained at the airport or in the country.
 

The passports of all travelers who wish to enter Mozambique must be valid for six months upon arrival and must contain at least three clean (unstamped) visa pages each time entry is sought. 

Visa application information

All visas must be obtained at the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique.

Applicants must:

• Submit an original passport, valid for at least 6 months from date of submission and have at least 1 blank page for visa stamp
• Fill out the visa application form
• Submit 2 passport-sized photographs.
• Include a self-addressed and stamped envelope preferably registered or pre-paid air bill if processed visas are to be returned by mail or courier.  
• Payments must be made by money order only, payable to the Embassy of Mozambique.
  The fee is non-refundable irrespective of the outcome of application or in case of the withdrawal of the application.
